During the next several years, SWMLC will focus on the conservation of floodplain forest and wetlands within the Prairieville Creek watershed, expansion of critical wildlife habitat around the Barry State Game Area (BSGA), a land purchase project in the Rocky River watershed, and wetland restoration in the Paw Paw River watershed.
Barry State Game Area
SWMLC will be reaching out to landowners in the vicinity of the BSGA to permanently protect more land to maintain sufficiently-sized habitats that will sustain a thriving and diverse range of native plants and animals.
